100 Steps Founders Take a Step Back and Reflect on Cranford Eatery

Like a proud poppa and mamma seeing their baby morph into a grownup and leave the nest, Cranford’s Andrea and Jim Carbine have let go of 100 Steps Supper Club & Raw Bar, handing it off to new operators who will continue to run the popular establishment on Centennial Avenue.

The Carbines, owners of A Toute Heure (just down the street, or about its namesake, 100 steps away) said running the two local eateries in Centennial Village was taking its toll.

“We love what we have accomplished here at OHS [their acronym for 100 Steps], we love the amazing crews, and we love the enthusiasm that all of you have brought to the door,” Andrea Carbine posted on Facebook. “But, we want to find time to try and be Jim and Andrea, and running two spots, across seven days, made that nearly impossible.”

The Carbines added that the new owners want “continue what we built.”

100 Steps opened in 2014.
