Buddha Fish Preps for Elm Street Opening in Westfield

Restaurant Row’s newest restaurant, Buddha Fish, continues it renovations on Elm Street and recently installed its new sign with the tag line “Sushi & Tapas.”

The new “high-end sushi restaurant” at 35 Elm Street will open inside the former Mojave Grill location.

Along with a fresh exterior paint job, interior work is also underway to transform the site, according to the Downtown Westfield Corporation.

Despite buzz of its opening, Buddha Fish has yet to launch its website or social media channels.

The former Mojave Grille was one of three restaurants owned by Robert Scalera in the restaurant-heavy strip of Elm and Quimby Streets. Scalera also owned Theresa’s and Isabella’s, both shuttered. Scalera does not own the new restaurant.
