Clark’s Thailand Restaurant Bows Out

A neighborhood favorite is closing its doors after nearly two decades of dishing-out authentic, house-made Thai cuisine.

Thailand Restaurant, known to many as Thai Diner, on Central Avenue is saying goodbye on June 3. The daughter of the restaurant’s owners cited her parents’ health issues for the closure. She added that they are retiring in part because they can no longer keep up with the fast pace required at the popular establishment, according to a report on TAPinto Clark.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Thailand Restaurant,” reads a sign on the restaurant’s door. “Over the years we have developed many loyal customers and many friendships that we will miss.”

Area foodies say it’s a big loss to the local dining scene.

“Enjoying every last bite…. for the last time,” lamented Pamela S. on Facebook.
