The May Issue of New Jersey Monthly includes an article listing 20 dives across the Garden State that its critics dig, and Cranford’s beloved Riverside Inn made the cut, the only bar in the area.
“Locals affectionately call it the Dive for its homey vibe and hodgepodge of vintage neon beer signs and wooden ship wheels,” notes the glossy mag based in Morristown. “On summer nights, the front windows are opened to admit a much-needed breeze into the tightly packed quarters.”
New Jersey Monthly considers a dive to be an establishment with a big heart and “damn good” bartenders, burgers and bands.
