Fanwood Ain’t Dry Anymore!

THIRSTY FOR A COLD ONE? And in Fanwood? Well, you’re in luck. The town is no longer dry thanks to the opening of Sheelen’s Crossing Pub and Bistro on South Avenue. They boast an impressive beer menu and a Bloody Mary bar that has caught the attention of many locals. The place was named for Irishman-Fanwoodian Charles J. Sheelen Jr., a longtime grocer in town.

The expanded location is the site of the former Flannery’s/Oh Brian’s locale. Fanwood was without a watering hole of its own since February 2015.

While the neighborhood bar has a traditional pub atmosphere, it’s also kid-friendly.
