Fettle + Fare Ups Westfield’s Healthy Living Creds

Paging all Paleos, Vegans, Low Carbers, Eating Cleaners and all-around wellness mavens! There’s a new place that’s just for you.

Nourish on the go, that’s the motto of the new uber-healthy and organic Fettle + Fare on West Broad Street in Downtown Westfield.

The business is owned by Amanda Vargas, she says Fettle + Fare’s concept started 6 years ago when she began sourcing her food from local farms to help her with her battle against Multiple Sclerosis, a degenerative neurological disease.

One of the results of her efforts is a yummy addition to town, with organic and grass-fed foods as mainstays at her store. Many healthier versions of favorites are offered, like raw cacao avocado mousse, cashew yogurt parfait and black bean-quinoa burgers.

Vegan and vegetarian favorites, gluten free items and bone broth are available. The store also carries beverages from the popular Fresh Press Juice Co. in Cranford.

The shop is grab and go, so it’s perfect for picnics and commuters alike.

Vargas says she chose to open on West Broad because the people of Westfield “get us!” She posts on the stores website:

“We want to be part of a community that supports their local businesses and appreciates healthy living. With similar health conscious businesses like our neighbor, Bella Vida Yoga, and others like Via Nutrition, Ono Bowls, and EuroMedFlex, we are EXCITED to be part of this positive healthy change!”

In a bit of irony, the shop was formerly a Domino’s Pizza location. Which is basically the opposite of vegan. Right?
