Retailer Hickory & Hill General Store Opens in Downtown Cranford

(CRANFORD, NJ) Downtown has a brand new store for local shoppers to experience on North Avenue West. It’s at a prime location, just steps from the renovated Cranford Theater and the bustling business corridor on Eastman Street, and is called Hickory & Hill General Store.

The shop’s name is near and dear to its owner Kelli Paterno.

“The name Hickory & Hill originated from the homes we have lived in since moving back to the area,” she explained, on Hickory Avenue in Garwood and on Gallows Hill Road in Cranford.

The shop has an extensive array of merchandise on offer, including home decor, gifts, clothes, and accessories.

“When I moved back to Cranford, I had so much fun decorating my house and that led to my idea for the store,” said Kelli in an interview with the Downtown Management Corporation. “I’m so excited to open in the town that I love.”

The shop also carries items that celebrate the township, including linens and wall art. And, as a sign of times, handmade masks are also available.

“Hickory & Hill curates thoughtfully made items created by small businesses,” Paterno said. “Family, friends, community, and enjoyment of home are the inspiration behind the store.”

Hickory & Hill is located at the former home of Eye Level Learning.
