Shoppers who descend on Park Avenue in Scotch Plains Centre will be greeted with freebies including hot chocolate, snacks and most importantly goodie bags chock full of deals and discounts from area merchants.
“Giveaway bags with coupons for participating businesses, courtesy of the Scotch Plains Business & Professional Association and local business owners will be distributed,” trumpeted town officials ahead of the kick-off of the holiday shopping season. “Scotch Plains supports its local businesses!”
Festivities get underway at 11am at Alan Augustine Village Green. Details on participating establishments is on the town website, according to organizers.
