Sheelen’s Crossing’s Epic Bloody Marys Make for Fun Brunch-Time Boozing in Fanwood

It’s a drink! No, it’s a meal! No wait, it’s an epically awesome Bloody Mary from Sheelen’s Crossing Pub and Bistro in Fanwood.

Since opening at 200 South Avenue in Downtown, the Borough’s only watering hole has been a hit with thirsty (and hungry) Area peeps.

“We love the food, the staff and the owners at Sheelen’s Crossing. It is our go to neighborhood spot!” said Catherine D. in a review on Facebook.

Unlimited, deliciously murky, Bloody Marys (with all the fixins) offered during Brunch reel em in. And, while the neighborhood bar has a traditional pub atmosphere, it’s also kid-friendly.

“Enjoyed the Brunch very much. A family friendly place, it has a nice seating area through the bar,” posted John B. in another review on Facebook.

Brunch at Sheelen’s is every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Nothing like a Sunday Funday!” commented Sheelen’s Crossing on Instagram under a post featuring its Bloody Mary Bar.

Opened last fall, the pub is named after Fanwood’s Sheelen’s Crossing Bridge (a structure right across the street that carries locals over the Raritan Valley Line tracks) named for Irishman and Fanwoodian Charles J. Sheelen, Jr. and his family who served the town as a grocer.
