#WeLoveLocal Fund Offers Simple Way to Help during COVID-19 Crisis

The unprecedented restrictions in place to combat the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus has crippled may local businesses. With our neighbors in need, the Westfield United Fund, a group I am a proud member of, partnered with the Town of Westfield and created the #WeLoveLocal Fund to help area establishments and their employees who are devastated by the crisis.

With the help of Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle and Goo Goo Dolls’ lead singer John Rzeznik a live-streamed Westfield porch concert got the fund a boost of rockstar energy that it needed to make a difference. In first two days, the fund took in thousands of dollars. And, after an encore performance on Live With Kelly & Ryan, the fund was well on its way to becoming a game-changer.
