(WESTFIELD, NJ) The pandemic has not stopped locals artists from unveiling their annual Addams Fest window displays at town businesses. Each unique scene depicts the Westfield-inspired Addams Family to help celebrate Halloween. Many of the murals are the work of Westfield High School students, like the one at VP Salon on South Avenue.
“Two incredible seniors from Westfield created these fantastic windows,” posted Victor Passucci, the owner of VP Salon. “Thank you @biancapopa3 and Bekka for you talent and adding some fun to our windows for the annual Addams Fest wicked windows.”
Addams Fest organizers encourage residents and visitors to stroll through town and take in the seasonal displays and intricately painted windows. This year, there are many precautions to ensure safety at the event.
“Westfield will be transformed to all things Charles Addams with family themed events, movie screenings, exhibits and much more — all reimagined for a pandemic-friendly approach that allows for distancing,” explained organizers.
Addams Fest was established in 2018. Its a town-wide celebration of Westfield’s own Charles Addams, the creator of The Addams Family,
