Westfield’s Golden Age Fretted Instruments Moves and Expands

Rock on!

Golden Age Fretted Instruments’ new expanded location in the old Carnegie Library Building (next to the Town Bookstore in the former Felice space) on East Broad Street has given the business some much needed elbow room to jam, including a new main showroom and an even its own exclusive amp room.

“We are incredibly excited to start this new leg of our journey and even more so to be able to share this with all of you,” the owner, John Reynolds, said in a post to its loyal clientle during the move from the Southside of town, “We could not have done this without you guys, and although there is still a lot of work to be done on the inside, we know it will be worth it!”

The local high end and vintage guitar shop has drummed-up excitement at its new spot by hosting workshops for music enthusiasts.

Golden Age Fretted Instruments specializes in hard to find, boutique and handcrafted guitars of all types: acoustics, flattops and bases. They also offer full repair service.

The establishment opened in 1999.
