Springtime is a perfect opportunity to get out and try new local establishments. And, Ava’s Kitchen & Bar in Kenilworth has been featured in an article, “29 New NJ Restaurants You Need to Try this Spring,” that is aimed at inspiring foodies to trek around the state and chow down.
An Ava’s diner was quoted in the story, calling the restaurant a “great place with a rustic feel with a pretty good beer menu and yes the food was delicious!”
Ava’s is worth the trip for out-of-towners {easy peasy for us in the area} for its artisanal pizzas and small bites plus beer, wine and cocktails, according to nj.com.
Attilio Guarino, the pizza chef that made a name for himself at Emma’s Brick Oven in Cranford, opened the restaurant after refurbishing the old Umberto’s Clam Bar on North 21st Street.
