(GARWOOD, NJ) One of New Jersey’s most talked about burger joints has reopened at 101 Center Street under new ownership. Cassy Perez and James Monzon completely renovated the cozy corner restaurant and revamped its menu. They celebrated their grand reopening in the Borough on December 11.
“Change is good!” they posted on their social media handles. “We are rocking and rolling. Come get loaded for lunch or dinner! Make it a date night with BYOB, or take out for the home.”
Loaded Burgers-N-BBQ originally opened to rave reviews in 2013. In 2016, it snagged “Best Burger in Union County” in an nj.com list highlighting the 21 best burgers in each of the Garden State’s counties. The restaurant was closed for most of 2020, with the new owners announcing their intentions to reopen in August.
Their menu features its Loaded Burger (beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onions and pickles) and Re-Loaded Burger (beef patty, bacon, fried egg, crispy shallots and loaded sauce), Broskit (smoked brisket, monterey/cheddar, cooked onions on Texas toast), and The Porkulus (pulled pork, drunken apple slaw and potato sticks), to name a few. Wings, baked macaroni and cheese, and their vegetarian Chick-a-Pea Patty (chickpea patty, avocado, pico de Gallo and Thousand Island dressing) also stand out.
