The Urban Sewciety knitting mecca and retail shop was busting at the seams with clients and customers at its former location on South Avenue in Downtown Westfield {next door to 1958 Cuban Cuisine and across the street from the train station} prompting them to seek a bigger spot.
“Oh, how this little shop exceeded our expectations and made our dreams come true,” posted the owners as they reminisced about the growth of their establishment and the community it created in town.
Their new location at 361 South Avenue West {above the Westfield Ballroom} is twice the size of their original, giving them more space for its shop and a larger design studio.
“We have so much room now that we were able to run two classes at the same time,” boasted the Urban Sewciety team in a recent Instagram post.
Urban Sewciety offers classes for children and adults, and it has a well-stocked retail section for sewing fans.
