New Jersey Monthly magazine has released the results of its 35th Annual Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll and Chez Catherine on North Avenue, the grand dame of French cuisine in the Garden State, has again been voted #1.
Chez Catherine netted the most reader votes for French restaurants in North Jersey.
Since 2012, Chez Catherine was only edged-out once in the annual poll by Lorena’s in Maplewood in 2015, winning the category every other year.
Balloting took place on the mag’s website in February, according to njmonthly.com.
A new chef and owner took over at the venerable establishment in 2017.
More good news for Chez Catherine, it was also included in New Jersey Monthly’s annual look at “The 30 Best Restaurants in New Jersey,” the only restaurant in our area (and in Union County) to make the influential list.
