If you’re in the market for vintage furniture, a stop in Garwood would be a wise decision with the opening this winter of Cheech and Roo on North Avenue.
The well-stocked shop boasts an eclectic mix of home furnishings. And as its owner, Elisa Miranda says “we take the old and put a new twist on it…”
That often includes refurbishing its inventory by painting it, adding new hardware and bringing new life to its vintage stock; a slow, methodical process that has really become an art form of its own.
“I don’t paint in one style, I adapt my paint style to the piece and customer’s request,” explained Miranda.
The shop is open every day except Monday.
