If you didn’t know any better, you’d probably think this dazzling photo (above) shared by Dreyer Farms on Sunday (during that breathtaking sunset) was from somewhere far, far away. Like Wyoming or Warren County. But, since you know the last working farm in Union County is right here in Cranford, you probably weren’t surprised by this stunner. They are always churning out great images of the farm, the market and the incredible produce they sell, just check out @dreyerfarms on Instagram.
A part of the community since, 1904, Dreyer Farms is still a family affair, with the current owners actually tracing their roots back to the original farmers who worked the land along Springfield Avenue. Along with fresh produce, Dreyer Farms sells dairy products, meat, baked goods (fresh doughnuts too), honey, olive oil and lots more, including holiday decor. They even offer wine and wine tastings!
But hurry up! Dreyer Farms will close for the season on Dec. 24 and won’t reopen until Spring. Gotta thank them for staying open just long enough to see us through the holidays. Organic honey makes a good stocking stuffer. Right?
