The Force is in Fanwood! As part of the worldwide celebration of the Star Wars franchise’s release 35 years ago and in anticipation of the release of Episode 7, the Fanwood Memorial Library is hosting a Jersey theater group known for their parodies of famous and vintage works.
Raconteur Radio will present “The Empire Strikes Back: A Staged Radio Play Parody on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. Organizers say the free show will be family-friendly and action packed. The play will follow the plot of the classic Star Wars film, and covers Luke Skywalker’s mission to hone his use of the Force, eventually taking on his evil father Darth Vadar (spoiler alert?!?! Ha!).

The library’s Star Wars programming continues on Nov. 30 with a Movie Marathon (all 6 Star Wars movies will be shown- epic!!), a trivia night on Dec. 3, and a Fan Fiction Writing Workshop on Dec. 17 (the eve of the release of Episode 7 in movie theaters).
